You will open up and intensify sales in the lucrative Western territory. You must be a road warrior and expert sales negotiator, highly proficient in targeting, acquiring, and retaining business.
This is a "hands on" sales position, requiring documented success in building and maintaining strong relationships. It is not a commodity lighting product. It requires solution based selling and a consultative approach in listening to customers’ needs. You must be a sophisticated sales pro with:
A successful background in OUTSIDE SALES of industrial, electrical products;
Experience working with sophisticated and knowledgeable customers in an Industrial, Medical or Corporate environment. The customer base includes machine operators, plant managers, electrical engineers, architects, lighting designers as well as senior management;
Management of independent manufacturers' rep/agency force is a big plus (or solid experience working FOR an agency); and
Strong technical acumen

Western Regional Sales Manager - Specified Lighting Products
Domestic manufacturer uniquely focused on "the right light" for a variety of applications. Their award-winning, architectural LED based products are often copied . . . but there is no substitute for the original!
As Regional Sales Manager and expert in SPECIFIED LIGHTING PRODUCTS, you will use your substantial expertise managing manufacturers reps/agents in lighting. We need a professional who can get products spec'd by lighting designers and architects, and close business with distributors, contractors, and end users.
To succeed, you must have a stable work record, demonstrated accomplishments in commercial LIGHTING products and application, with strong specifier relationships and experience managing the manufacturers reps. This must be your primary and recent experience.
In particular, please show your expertise to:
Manage, train, and drive the lighting agents/reps
Build relationships with the most important Lighting designers, architects and engineers in your territory
Schedule and roll out new product programs and promotion programs
Make sales calls for New Product introductions
Coordinate National Account opportunities together with the Key Accounts Manager
Inform the Product Managers about competitor’s product and marketing activities
We think at least 5 years of success in the above areas is fine. Again, this must be your primary and recent experience. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

Director, Field Applications Engineering - LED Lighting

This position calls for a strong consultative sales expert, who will strategically plan, develop and drive new business opportunities, nationwide. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, cultivating new relationships and developing/enhancing current relationships.
You must have an excellent work record with at least 5 years of progressive management experience and the ability to:
Use your knowledge of market and customer demand to aggressively pursue new and incremental business opportunities and drive the strategic systems and LED technologies roadmaps.
Manage and continue to build our team of nationwide Field Application Engineers (FAE) to maintain a strong technological presence.
Work directly with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Purchasing and others to ensure adoption and implementation of new and emerging technologies.
Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Product knowledge in LED lighting and systems (recent and substantial experience)
Initiative in on-going professional development, keeping abreast of the industry and its changes
Excellent work record with demonstrated accomplishments
